Benson Boone live concert review – Let’s just start with this: I lost my voice. Completely. Gone. Evaporated within the first song. And honestly? Worth it. Because Benson Boone makes crash out music and I will scream it with my entire soul, thank you very much. And to the haters… go eat zucchini.
We queued a whole day (as one does), but it was genuinely one of the most fun queues ever. We fully committed to the bit and dressed up as characters from Despicable Me: I was Gru, obviously. No further explanation needed. We even made a minion to give to Benson. His name was Benny the Minion.
But tragedy struck.
Benny… did not make it.
Security absolutely violated him, threw him in the trash like he meant NOTHING. RIP Benny the Minion. You will be missed, you will be loved, and now you’re in the stars and six feet never felt so far…
Anyway.

Met some really lovely people again, including people from the ACTUAL USA. And these people had camping chairs and were just… going to throw them away?? Absolutely not. I adopted those chairs immediately (with permission, I’m not a criminal).
And don’t ask me how I managed to get a whole chair into the venue, but not a small cardboard minion. I’m still confused. Security was just jealous of Benny and his crown, I stand by that.
We spent the day playing games (my competitive side came OUT, apologies to everyone involved), filming chaotic dancing videos, and just vibing. And then… we got inside.
AND WE GOT BARRICADE.
Front. And. Center.
Shoutout to Benson and his long… very interestingly shaped stage (it’s a heart, I know, I know). But because of that, we were insanely close. Like, dangerously close. And that’s when the exhaustion hit. Me and my friend literally sat down at the barricade and just started trauma dumping. Full deep talks, bonding moment, 10/10 experience.
Then the show started and within one song, our voices were gone. Gone. Deleted. The security guy in front of us genuinely hated us and was laughing at our… let’s call it “passionate” singing. Again: jealousy.
BUT THEN.
The barricade run.
Benson comes running, I’m holding up the crown for him, and at first he RUNS PAST. I was ready to accept my fate. But then — something clicked. He looked back. HE CAME BACK. TO ME. Took the crown. Eye contact was made. A moment was shared. Lives were changed.
He wanted me. I will not be taking questions at this time. Delulu is the solulu and I am living proof.
